the Go-Team has helped to plant the first tree

The soil in Osia is rather difficult for planting a tree but with sweat and blisters we managed to plant a mango tree at the entrance of the mission.

Since the Go-Team was the first team to be on site and since the have been involved in digging the first foundation of the first dormitory, it was suitable for them to plant the first tree in the reception area.

The tree will take some 4 years to mature so it is good to start early with the tree planting.

The soil in Osia is only 30 to 50 cm deep and so we need to cut a hole in the rock beneath so the plant has a chance to mature before cracking the rock open by itself.
A difficult excercise!
