Dutch Chairman visits the project
This week our Dutch Chairman; Marrianne Zeldenrust paid a visit to our project in Tororo.
The work continues bit-by-bit as we struggle to keep up with the builders. Most of the waiting is on the 2 tipping-trucks that are hauling all the rocks to fill the rest of the foundation.

Official Dedication and opening
On the 6th of Feb 2009 it has finally happened! We've had the official dedication & opening of our new mission compound.
It's 1 day to the opening date and some of the guardians came to the orientation day that we organized

This year we are also having a team from Roseville (CA) USA over and they are working on the next dormitory.

Here in Uganda we call him Fred as his dutch name is rather difficult to get your tongue around when you are an English speaking African.

The soil in Osia is rather difficult for planting a tree but with sweat and blisters we managed to plant a mango tree at the entrance of the mission.

Project progress School-Block Wk40-2010
The work on the SchoolBlock continues...
Casting the first column for the school
Saturday the 18th of September 2010 we had the pleasure of casting the first bit of the new school building. Prayers were offered by Children & Staff
On Sunday, 11 July 2010, two bombs went of simultaneously in Kampala,killing at least 75 people
While the normal school work is continuing, there is also a lot of work taking place behind the scenes...

The new bore-hole has received it's electric pump!
Today, the electricity company has placed the high voltage (33KV) transformer. Even though we do not have it connected yet, it is very promising.

From a distance the project just started looking so much better with the roof tiles on our fist dormitory block.
In preparation for the expected rain-season we have plated 100 traditional African trees
The installation that will make living in this children's village possible is getting ready soon.

Yes, each year we are looking for a whole new class full of 24 children for our Primary One Class.
This year Grace has started early...
Exactly on my birthday, Kimberly Wallace comes with some very nice gifts for the children of Osia. Each child gets a brand new towel and a pair of sports shoes.
